| We are involved in developing an RDBMS named VAMAN, using internal-multithreading (threads not visible to the OS, hence OS independent), and Finite State Machine model. Standard C is used as the programming language of choice, for its strength and portability. MS-VC++ 6.0 (on Windows-NT) is the tool being used for the development of the server. Currently involved in developing Extended Procedural Language (EPL), to provide stored procedures in the database. Implemented the Cursor construct in the EPL. Integrated the RDBMS server with Windows-NT services, provides for the automatic startup-shutdown of the server in tandem with the Operating System. |
